Pottery arts in Seto, near Aichi prefecture, date back to the 13th century. Ceramics from this famed region are known for their exceptional craftsmanship. And the local clay, which contains high-quality kaolin and porcelain stone, is key to producing exquisite colored glazes. This brown iron glaze and glossy finish, known as Setoguru, is distinctive to this region.
