SerendipiTea is certified organic by QCS (Quality Certification Services). Organic means produce and other organic ingredients in products are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilizers, sewage sludge, genetically modified organisms or ionizing radiation. Animals that produce meat, poultry, eggs and dairy products are not given antibiotics or growth hormones.
An organic production system is managed to respond to site-specific conditions by integrating cultural, biological and mechanical practices that foster cycling of resources, promote ecological balance and conserve biodiversity." Our product is NOP (National Organic Plan) Certified Organic according to USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) regulations which prohibit the use of GMOs.

This means an organic farmer can't plant GMO seeds, an organic cow can't eat GMO alfalfa or corn, and an organic soup producer can't use any GMO ingredients.
