Bloody Breakfast Tea

Bloody Breakfast Tea

Yield: 1 cocktail (about 6 oz.)

Created by Jason Lee, Mixologist

Dark, citrusy, and just a little spooky. This spirited take on afternoon tea pairs bold Earl Grey with blood orange, spiced rum, and a rich honey syrup made from our Ruby Sipper blend for a cocktail that's perfect for crisp fall nights.

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Prepare the Earl Grey: steep 1 tsp tea in 6 oz boiled water for 5 minutes.
  2. Make the Ruby Sipper Rich Honey Syrup: brew a strong batch of Ruby Sipper using 3/4 oz Ruby Sipper to 4.5 oz boiling water, steeped for 5 minutes. Combine honey and brewed Ruby Sipper at a 2:1 ratio.
  3. In a cup (or cauldron) of brewed Earl Grey, add the rum, honey syrup, and Solerno.
  4. Stir and garnish with an orange twist.

Tea time just got a whole lot more wicked.
