Shou Mei

Shou Mei is a white tea that is produced from naturally withered upper leaf and tips, with a stronger flavor reminiscent of lighter Oolong teas. It is mostly grown in the Fujian Province in China. Because it is plucked later than Bai Mudan, it is darker in color and have a proportionate green color, making a darker brew with more depth.

These Shou Mei White Tea cakes are from tea farmers in Taimu mountain in Fuding & made in the traditional sun-dried production way & stone-mold pressed. Great for consumption now but can also be stored.

Steeping Instructions:

1. Use a butter knife to scoop 5 grams of tea from the Tea Cake

2. Put the Tea into a cup, gai wan or tempered glass

3. Pour 5-6 oz. of water heated to 185° over the tea, rinse leaves & discard liquid

4. Repeat, steep for 15 seconds & enjoy, Repeat, steep longer next two times

5. Shou Mei White Tea stands up to three steeps but longer if you like.
