Certainly no ordinary twig tea, Kukicha Hatsukura is a visually stunning, finely blended style of desirable upper stems & sencha grade nibancha, i.e. leaves from the second harvest. Light & delicate, toasty with sweet end notes, this tea is sure to be an instant favorite.

Heat water below boiling (approx. 175-185°), steep 2 teaspoons up to 3 minutes, refresh as desired.

  • 4 oz. box makes approx. 50 cups
  • 1 lb. bulk bag makes approx. 180 cups
  • .75 - 1 oz. tin makes approx. 10 cups
    *note some blends are lighter than others

Japanese Green Tea

Steeping Instructions:

1. Fill kettle with fresh water, then heat.

2. Warm your teapot with a little hot water, discard, place your tea leaves in teapot, allowing heat of the pot to release bouquet of the tea leaves.

3. Heat water below boiling (approx. 170-175°). Steep 2.5 teaspoons up to 3 minutes, refresh as desired.

*Vary time according to taste, & remember that steeping tea leaves beyond 3 mins does not contribute to flavor, only bitterness.
