Our Gyokuro is from Kagoshima prefecture which is located in the far South-West section of Japan. Roll your mouse over the blue dots on the map, the corresponding prefecture name on the chart will be highlighted. You will see that Kagoshima tea is safe.
Heat water below boiling (approx. 170-175°), steep 2.5 teaspoons up to 3 minutes, refresh as desired.

Steeping Instructions:
1. Fill kettle with fresh water, then heat. 2. Heat water below boiling (approx 180°). Steep 1 teaspoon up to 3 minutes & refresh cup as desired.
*Vary time according to taste, & remember that steeping tea leave beyond 3 mins does not contribute to flavor, only bitterness.
