UNIQUE! From the land revered for its superb Green Tea offerings, this Black Tea from the Chiran region of Kagoshima Prefecture is a true find. Grade 2 is made using second flush leaves from three types of Japanese cultivars (Yabukita, Kanayamidori & Fujimidori). Various Japanese greens are made from these same tea trees. The liquor of this tea has refreshing reddish color, the taste is mildly sweet.

Steeping Instructions:

1. Fill kettle with fresh water, then heat.

2. Warm your teapot with a little hot water, discard, place your tea leaves in teapot (one level teaspoon per cup), allowing heat of the pot to release bouquet of the tea leaves.

3. Heat water to approx. 195°. Steep up to 3 minutes.

*Vary time according to taste, & remember that steeping tea leave beyond 3 mins does not contribute to flavor, only bitterness.
